"I am writing to apply for the position of Hotel Manager, as advertised in the Guardian newspaper on 8th July.
As outlined in my curriculum vitae, which I have enclosed, I attended Whitehill Secondary School in Edmonton where I completed my GCSE and
A’ level studies. In 1999, I graduated from the Toronto University with a BSc in Commercial Studies and Management.
After graduation I started working as a Receptionist at Lake Resort hotel near Toronto. I hold this position only two months and then I promoted to a post of Manager Assistant at this hotel, where my duties included organisation of the staff and services.
I am currently employed as Service Manager at Erie Hotel, where I am responsible for organisation of hotel services and overseeing the financial management. I am also generally noted for my good organisational and managerial skills.
I believe that I am well-suited to a career in a hotel management and I would like to extend my professional experience at this post. I also have had extensive manager training with a well-performing lake resort hotel. My time spent as Service Manager also brought me number of valuable business contacts in accommodation and services.
