The first literary works sent to magazines. He had big financial problems, because he had problems with gambling. But he supported (podporovat) charity. Saroyan was married twice (tothe same woman) and had two children.

His work is very extensive; he wrote more than 100 books. He wrote mainly short stories. The stories are romantic and sentimental. Saroyan has great admirers (obdivovatelé), but also sworn (zapřísáhlých) opponents (odpůrců). The same is with his books and plays.

I would like to write about Tracy's Tiger. This is book by William Saroyan. Type of this book is epic. Book is Fairytale amendment (pohádková novela). It's a fairy tale for adults. Saroyan in this work denies (popírat) the limit between reality and fiction, sense and nonsense (smyslem a nesmyslem). The book tells the story about a New York boy's Tracy and his tiger, which is the symbol of his youth and love for Laura.
The story is about love between Laura and Tracy. Tracy has a tiger. But Tracy is unfaithful (nevěrný) to Laura with her mum. Tracy goes away, because he is indifferent (lhostejný) to Laura’s emotions. When he returns, he finds his tiger. People view him as a fool (vidět ho jako blázna). He finds Laura in the madhouse (blázinec) and again finds his love.

The main character is Tracy. Tracy is young boy, who has a tiger. He is 21 years old. He works for coffee importer (dovozce kávy). Tracy's Tiger is Black Panther who represents everything what person needs (lidské potřeby). The tiger is a symbol of originality, spontaneity, energy and youth. Laura is pretty young girl. Tracy loves Laura. Doctor Pingitzer is known (uznávaný) and respected psychiatrist. He investigates (vyšetřuje) Tracy.


I like this book, because this book is very easy for reading. Book is simple, concise and fairy. I would recommend the book to children and adults. Everyone will love it."
