Robin Hood
Robin Hood is a legendary hero in English folklore. He lived in the 13th century in Sherwood Forests in Nottingham. At that time, John the Lackland ruled the country. He was very cruel. People had to pay large taxes and they were very poor because of it. Robin Hood decided to fight against this injustice. Everyone knows that he robbed the rich to give to the poor. He chose to be an outlaw. It means that he lived outside the law, but he had his own ideas of what is right and what is wrong.
He dressed in green and he used a bow and arrows. He lived in the forest with his wife and his band of followers. They hunted the King´s deer for food.
Robin´s main enemy was the Sheriff of Nottingham, who was always trying to capture Robin, but he never managed to do it. Some stories say that he eventually killed Robin by poisoning him."
