"In Great Britain children under the age of five go to the kindergarten. School is compulsory for children between the age of 5 to 16 there. Primary schools are for ages between 5 - 11 and Secondary schools are from 11. to 16. About 93 % of pupils go to state schools. At the age of 16 about two thirds (2/3) of these pupils leave school and get jobs. This system of education is free. After secondary schools the pupils can attend advanced level examinations and at the age of 18 they can go to the university. More ambitious pupils can go to the college of further education which contain higher education. The students at most secondary schools in Britain have to wear a school uniform. This usually means a white blouse for girls with a dark coloured skirt and pullover. Boys wear a shirt and tie, dark trousers and dark coloured pullovers.
In USA the first school which pupils attending is nursery school. At the age of 6 they attend elementary school for 12 years. Elementary school education is in USA divided into three terms.
